This is it! The day before...

Packing for a 4 month bike tour is hard work!
Let's head up the West Coast and see what we discover! (I hope not more rain; had quite enough of that in Southland...)

Getting creative with a medicine pill box! Name the seasonings and I'll fax you a Toblerone.

There's not really any explanation for this picture; except it was fun to create!

Thanks for taking the time to comment! I think the day I left I was more nervous, and it was really good to start because that soon wore off and it was exciting! How were your holidays? Hope the pool is nice and warm for you?!

    1. Hi Bree!

I've been thinking of you, especially because I wear your awesome earrings you gave me everyday! It took me about 3 days to pack my bags; I kept changing my mind about what to bring and in the end had to think very minimalist! Are you enjoying the new class set up?

      Thanks for commenting!

  4. Hey Ruth!
That looks like a lot of stuff to pack! I hope the toblerone you were eating was yum! Anyway I think one of the seasonings is dried rosemary? I like the quote on your notebook and I might just borrow it (You know I have an UNTREATABLE addiction to quotes!). Cant wait to see more of the trip.
    Lots of love, Hannah

    1. Hi Hannah!

The toblerone was indeed yummy and you're very close with dried rosemary...it was tuscan! I will fax you a square from the toblerone bar...just did it then. Get it? Good. I will try and pick up some more quotes for you! I saw a heap of horses that were for Glacier trekking near Fox Glacier and I thought of you.

Hope you're enjoying the start to the new school year and thanks for commenting!

    1. Hi Hunter!

I've been waiting to read your comment. :) I have been imagining you biking behind me..or in front probably! The West Coast has been really hilly and today we finally have some sun. How is the school pool going? Did you enjoy Manual for the first time?

      Thanks for commenting! :)

  8. Hi Emily!!

How is Riccarton going?? I've been thinking about you guys while I've been biking! :) It's great, lots to see and nice to see it at this slow pace. I climbed some really high hills yesterday, Karamea Bluffs - look them up! I am going pretty slowly so I'm sure it would be a case of me keeping up with you! Are you into sports yet?

    Keep in touch!
    Miss Blair :)
