The bike from Greymouth to Westport is pretty spectacular. Of course it was raining on and off all day; but the Punakaiki Pancake Rocks and Blowholes are amazing!
You could definitely stand there for hours - it started raining so I didn't! Sat in the cafe for an hour instead and ate a 'gourmet sandwich' - I guess it's called that because it was the size of a dinner plate. I gobbled it down though!
It really is amazing. Even though it is often wild and wooly. You could just stand and watch the water come in and go up for hours. Did you?
